A historical rose garden is in under threat, please help

Haÿ les roses,Valle de Marne is in danger. The majors want to cut the centenary trees which are protecting one of the most diverse collection of heirloom roses in the world .Those trees are giving the right environment for the roses to thrive, and a shelter for wildlife, just for creating more commercial places, and hence prostituting a shrine of beauty,history and knowledge for mere interrest. I wonder how this politician can dare to ruin such an historical place.

Hay les roses was conceived by Jules Gravereaux,chef executive of the Bon Marché magasines, and since the owners had no offpring, in inheritance was shared by the workers. He had money to create a garden dedicated to roses only in 1899, with the help of designer Edouard André .

 Jules is a giant into the Rose works and he is famous also for the creation of Rose á parfum de l haÿ, a very complex hybrid , with rosa rugosa, damask rose, the hybrid perpetual Général Jacqueminot and others . His goal was to create a reflowering rose which could substitute rosa damascena for the parfum industries . The rose did not match the criteria and it is offuscated  by the far superior Roseraie de L 'Haÿ (pictured on top).

Jules is commemorated by two superb tea roses Mme Jules Gravereaux(by the great Soupert et Notting and the extraordinary Rhodologue Jules Gravereaux bred by the Brazilian Da Silva ( the rose sold under the name Tripmphe du Luxembourg is the same as this rose )

The collection of Joséphine de Beauharnais ,Napoléon s first wife was the core of the collection till 7000 different varieties in1910. Now many varieties have vanished but it is still a source of endangered rose varieties in it s heyday. Today just 3000 and 16000 roses in its  1,7 hectares.85 percent of the roses are pre 1950.so it a a goldmine for diversity. The garden it's known for the massive use of ramblers on various supports and in different shapes as rose tunnels ,arches etc to give a very structural and modernist feel .
The structure is formal and geometric.And various types of settings for the roses . This rose garden is so famous than the original name of the suburb was once only called Haÿ but then it was rechristened Haÿ-les-Roses. The decision of the major is totally out greed since there have not been done any studies nor experts called to speak about this calamity. A petition was created by renown rose expert Etienne Bouret, and the American rose expert Greg Lowery . Roses lovers are an international community and joint efforts by rose lovers have prevented the destruction of the Sacramento cemetery known for its heirloom rose varieties and they manage to win thanks to Anita Clevenger and the joint help of rosarians worldwide .
